Ahoy!
We received this house without an identity. It didn’t know what it wanted to be.
Luckily, the owner is a strong, opinionated woman.

Her top priority was for the house to have a core—both conceptually and practically.
The vertical staircase serves as the spine, located at the center of the house, with various functions circulating harmoniously around it.

On the entrance floor, each space is separate and independent, yet visually connected. Each area has its own vegetation: welcoming plants at the entrance, a herb garden in the kitchen, the dining area overlooks the basement garden, which climbs upward creating a picturesque view, and the living room opens to the pool on the large balcony, overlooking the forest in the back.

This connection of elements continues on the top floor, where once again, all functions surround the central staircase. Movement between the spaces creates an endless flow: The master bedroom connects to the walk-in closet, leading to the master bathroom, which opens to the outdoor jacuzzi, connected to the laundry room that serves the other bedroom, which loops back to the master bedroom.

The house resembles a giant ship, smoothly sailing through the grove. Its structure is elevated, with terraces overlooking the surrounding area. The entrances, balconies, and gardens all face each other, enhancing this sense of connection.

The concrete roof sits atop the house like an elegant wide-brimmed hat. From the outside, one can see that the top floor's ceiling extends this motif into the house. The upper part of the black structure is "dressed" in a light, striped coat, which is mirrored in the metal gates and repeated on the entrance floor, surrounding the core—binding all elements together into a single, unmistakable identity.

Ahoy! This house started without a clear identity, but the owner, a decisive woman, knew exactly what she wanted. The staircase, serving as the spine, anchors the house, with each function circulating around it. Spaces on the entrance floor are visually connected yet independent, each with its own vegetation—herbs in the kitchen, a garden climbing from the basement, and views of the pool and forest from the living room.

On the top floor, the staircase again connects the spaces, creating a flow from the master bedroom to the jacuzzi, walk-in closet, and other rooms. The house feels like a ship sailing smoothly through the grove, elevated with terraces overlooking the surroundings. A concrete roof, like a wide-brimmed hat, and striped detailing tie the structure together into a cohesive, unmistakable identity.
